Frequently asked questions?
When should I start to look for my Wedding dress?
12-18 months in advance is recommended; however, we do have designers who accommodate rush cut timescales. (for an extra fee) Additionally we offer 'off the peg' purchasing on all of our dresses for those who are close to size and pressed for time.
Do I need to book an appointment?
We provide pre-bookable exclusive appointments as well as drop-in days as indicated in our opening hours.
How long is my appointment?
Appointment durations are typically 1 hour and 30 minutes, though retry and alteration times may vary.
How many guests can I bring?
We can comfortably accommodate bride along with three guests. Kindly note we are unable host children without prior notice.
Is there a charge for the appointment?
Charges apply solely for appointments scheduled outside of regular hours. Please review appointment options when booking.
What is the policy on payments and payment plans?
We ask for a 50% deposit to secure your order, payment plans for the remaining balance are available, check in store. Balance payment is due within 7 days of your wedding dress arrival.
Off the peg purchases are paid for in full on the day. ClearPay and Paypal credit available.
Do you have an in house seamstress?
Carol the owner of Sugar and Spice Bridal is a skilled and experienced seamstress, so you are in capable hands. Competitive packages are available and provided with quotes in-store.
Parking?
Yes we have plenty of on site free parking.
Do you offer +size dresses?
Rest assured that we stock a fabulous range of dresses from 6 - 30
How does the ordering process work?
When you have chosen your perfect dress, we will take measurements and be guided by the Designers size charts to
advise you on the best possible fitting option. Note that bridal sizes are very different to High street sizing.
It is perfectly normal to differ by a size or two. We will go through our Terms and Conditions with you before taking a 50% deposit.
Timescales vary from 8 months to 10 months, depending on designer.
We will endeavour to keep you up to date with delivery times.
